When feelings speak
A textile canvas and a moving lens
When feelings speak is an installation about how feelings only become visible when we stop and look closely.
A large canvas is woven from threads of different thickness and colour: dense, sculpted fragments sit beside almost transparent cloth and loosely hanging fringe.
A round lens travels along the canvas on a vertical rail. It picks out and magnifies individual areas — knots, weaves, shades of thread — that merge into a single pattern from a distance.
